Competitions

At Pretty Witty Cakes, we have taught baking and cake decorating to 1000s of people. We also receive 1000s of emails each year where our students show us their amazing cake decorating.

We felt it was time that we celebrated the work of brilliant cake makers and cake decorators all around the world! Enter the Pretty Witty Cakes Awards ! We therefore frequently run a competition open to everyone wherever you are in the world. All you need to do to enter is follow the instructions set out below.

The winners will be chosen by public vote based on a short list put together by the judges.

How To Enter

This month's competition is all about CARVED AND SCULPTED CAKES

To enter, all you have to do is submit a photo of your best carved or sculpted cake . You can have any theme as long as there is some element of carving or sculpting (not just a round or square cake). You do not need to submit the real cake, just a photo. Only one entry per person and you must be over 16 to enter.

The closing date for entries is 30 September 2016.

Entry Rules

To enter, you must comply with the following rules:

Each entry must be the unaided and sole work of the entrant whose name and email is on the competition submission form. Only 1 entry per person. Ages 16 and over. Proof of age may be requested.
Each entry must be given a name and a description. The photo of the finished cake must not contain a watermarked or identification of the maker so that judging can be neutral without knowledge of the entrants business name. If you run a business, you must include your business name, website and facebook address on the entry form so we can contact you. You do not need to run a business to enter - you can be an amateur.
Remember the quality of the photo counts and remember NOT to watermark your photo or you are automatically disqualified even if your entry is amazing!
The judges will choose finalists.The overall winner will then be chosen according to votes by members of the public (details on how to be revealed when voting opens).
Entries must be submitted by the closing date. This is 30 September 2016. The shortlist will be chosen by the judges and public voting will commence thereafter. The winners may be notified by email and on facebook. All entries are subject to the full Terms and Conditions

The Prize

The winners of each competition will each receive a free video tutorial to keep for life from Pretty Witty Cakes and the coveted Pretty Witty Cakes Trophy .

The winning cake may also be featured on our website Members Photo Gallery and/or Forum and/or on Pretty Witty Cakes' Facebook Page.

How To Vote

Voting will open when the competition closes for entries after 30 September. Make sure you are on our mailing list to find out the three finalists.
