In this Project, Pretty Witty Cakes' tutor Grace Stevens shows you how to make a fondant based bride and groom for the top of a wedding cake.
The videos will cover everything you need to know about fondant
modelling
a bride and groom including dress details and a tiny bouquet of flowers. Once you have mastered these skills, you will able to adapt the techniques shown to other people characters.
What you will learn
This Project is all about learning to make people from fondant or other similar materials. You will learn to make:

A groom kneeling on one knee and self-supporting

A bride standing and self-supporting with her hands clasped together

A tiny bouquet of flowers

Full wedding dress including tuxedo and patterns wedding gown

Hair in flowing ringlets or masculine style
Grace will show you her own methods for making people. During the Project you will learn to make clothes for boys and girls and how you "dress" a bride and grrom for a cake. This is a fantastic project for anyone new to making fondant figures or wanting to improve their skills.
In this video Grace sometimes using toothpicks for support. With edible cakes you should use spaghetti pasta instead or disclose to the consumer that there are toothpicks being used.
